Grove Park

Grove Park at Grand Oaks Plantation is a young condominium community situated on twenty beautiful park-like acres in the heart of Grand Oaks Plantation. Ground broke at Grove Park in 2002 and today, seventeen buildings with 136 condo units make up a vital, friendly neighborhood with ponds, palmettos and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the desirable low country lifestyle of Charleston.

One of Grove Park’s favorite amenities is the clubhouse and pool complex. With its full kitchen and fireplaced lounge, the clubhouse is used by residents not only for meetings, but also for parties, and other social events throughout the year. Our swimming pool is a private oasis sheltered behind mature palm trees, wax myrtles and ornamental grass, where residents can swim, relax with a book, work on laptops or just laze in the sun on one of the seemingly endless supply of comfortable chez lounges.

2010 has seen the completion of a new dog park designed and built for Grove Park residents and their four legged friends. A scenic fenced in area nestled among shade trees, our dog park is a spot where residents can let their dogs run off leash in a safe and welcoming environment. Situated down a winding mulch path, the dog park has running water for filling dog bowls, two brand new Dogi-Pot stations for dog owner’s convenience, and benches for residents to sit and visit.

Long awaited and newly arrived this year are five bicycle stands added to Grove Park’s list of amenities. Made of environmentally friendly dark green recycled material, the bike stands are filling up quickly, so that residents may keep their bicycles outside at the ready for those wonderful sunny days of riding down the miles of inviting roads and paths here at Grand Oaks Plantation.

Future plans for Grove Park include a garden club, two new poolside grills for summer cookouts, and keep a lookout for a neighborhood yard sale open to shoppers from all of Grand Oaks Plantation.

Grove Park’s Board of Directors includes Jill Frey, president, Marie Barnett, vice president, Leonard Hadden, secretary/treasurer, Jerry Thorsell and Bob Martin. Meeting every third Thursday of just about each month, the board decides upon budgetary matters, capital expenditures, landscape design, rules and regulations and generally steers the community in positive new directions to keep Grove Park a carefree and desirable place to live for all of its residents.

The Board may be contacted through its property manager Carol Reddick of Spectrum Properties at 843-766-1606 x104.

Come, live at Grove Park.
